IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL APPLICANTS FOR GAS SERVICE
  • Must have a meter installed. If you do not have a meter, you will need to submit a Request for Residential Gas Service.
  • Your Social Security Number is required to Start Service. It is necessary to validate your identity as well as your credit status through Experian, a national credit reporting agency. Please have it available to complete this request.

    If you are unable to provide it, please call 1-877-238-0092 for assistance.
  • There is a one-time $25 fee to Start Service. As soon as you complete this process, we will let you know if a deposit is also required. All fees and deposits will be added to your first bill.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your turn on date is included in your confirmation email which was sent to the email address entered on your Start Service order.

Your Start Service request cannot be changed however you can cancel and issue a new Start Service request by:

1) Going to the Look Up Start Service request function and canceling your existing Start Service request.


2) Perform a new Start Service request order by selecting the "Schedule Service" tab, then select "Start Service" from the drop down menu.

2) Perform a new Start Service request order by selecting the "Schedule Service" tab, then select "Start Service" from the drop down menu on socalgas.com.
